Who We Are Our Approach What We Do How We Work Get in Touch
Our Approach

A family office is useful when it keeps matters orderly without becoming cumbersome.

Our approach is built around that principle.

We keep close to the full picture, maintain steady contact with the family, and work alongside specialist advisers where required. The aim is to make sure that decisions are taken on the basis of a complete view rather than a series of fragments.

Relationship Model

Each family works through a senior point of contact who remains close to the whole arrangement. That includes investments, structures, reporting, family matters, and charitable commitments, as well as the advisers involved in each.

This allows the family to have one relationship in which the wider picture is held, while still drawing on specialist expertise as needed.

Working with Advisers

Most families already have strong advisers around them. Banks, lawyers, trustees, accountants, tax specialists, and investment managers often know their own part of the picture well. The difficulty is that each sees it from a different vantage point.

We work with those advisers, not around them. Our role is to help ensure that the advice being given makes sense in context, that the implications of one decision are visible elsewhere, and that the family is not left to assemble the pieces alone.

Papers, Meetings, Follow-Through

At Fuller Gray, this is quiet work, but important work. Many difficulties in private wealth arise from smaller matters left unattended between one conversation and the next.

The usefulness of a family office often depends on small disciplines observed consistently. Papers should be clear. Meetings should begin from agreed facts. Decisions should be recorded properly. Responsibilities should be understood.
